By the End of the Course

You’ll have sculpted and molded your own prosthetic piece inspired by anime burns or scars. Whether you used latex or a watermelon stand-in, you’ll leave with a fully prepped, skin-ready prosthetic, ready for application and finishing in the next course.

Learning Objectives

  • Sculpt an anime-style burn or scar with dramatic, stylized details
  • Create a mold using latex or an allergy-friendly alternative
  • Prepare your prosthetic for safe, skin-ready application

Supplies Needed

  • Modeling clay (airdry, heat sensitive, or bake cure)
  • Plaster of Paris

Tools Needed

  • Clay tools
  • Access to a glass panel or smooth surface like a floor tile
  • Cotton swabs
  • Mold release spray (alternative: regular petroleum jelly)
