Taught by Fall from Grrace, a legally blind cosplayer and frequent guest at conventions, this course draws from direct, ongoing experience in the community. You’ll explore how to advocate for your needs, adapt your cosplay journey to fit your abilities, and participate in competitions in a way that works best for you. If you’re looking to enter cosplay spaces with more confidence and clarity, this course is for you.

In "Intro to Corsets," you’ll take the most important step in corset-making—the planning. Corsets are a staple in cosplay and historical costuming, but they can feel intimidating without the right foundation. This course is about understanding where to start. You’ll explore the history of corsets, learn how they function in cosplay design, and get guidance on beginner-friendly patterns, materials, and structural elements. The instructor will walk you through how to plan a corset that fits your body and cosplay goals—with a strong focus on design, fit, and customization. This is a non-sewing course, dedicated entirely to building your confidence and strategy before picking up a needle. And with a small class size, you’ll receive one-on-one attention and feedback from the instructor to support your planning process. The class also serves as a lead-in to a future hands-on sewing course where students will construct their first corset. This is a 60-minute course. No supply kit needed.
