By the End of the Course

By the end of this course, you’ll know how to transform a common household item into a realistic toxic waste canister prop, complete with dramatic glowing effects. You’ll learn how to weather and paint for a gritty, industrial look, and how to install battery-powered LED lighting for maximum impact. These techniques can be used again and again to build other light-up props for cosplay, photoshoots, or film.

Supplies Needed

  • Plastic jar with screw on lid
  • Foam 3mm and 5mm
  • Sandpaper (fine/light)
  • 1 led fairy light
  • Contact cement
  • Diffusing foam

Tools Needed

  • Dremel
  • Hot glue gun
